“This is Lee. Lee is a pea. All of his friends are peas…”
Colin and Lee, Carrot and Pea is the tale of an unlikely friendship between vegetables! Its’s also an irresistible story about empathy, diversity, and the joy of making friends with people (or vegetables) who are different from you.
The illustrations in the story have been created by Morag using a collage of supermarket carrier bags, and have clear shapes, bright colours, and a playful approach to everyday objects. It’s a really great wau to tell stories in a dfferent ways, and was described by The Guardian as “very funny, very cute”. The tactile cover features shiny, textured Lee Pea and all his pea friends, and a very orange Colin Carrot. Suitable for children up to the age of five years.
